MCP Server

Bring Ranktim data into Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or any MCP client and query prompts, citations, sentiment, products and audits directly.

What is the Ranktim MCP server?

The Ranktim MCP server exposes your workspace to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol. Once connected, your assistant can look up AI visibility, citations and sentiment for your tracked prompts, list your products and run site audits — in the same conversation you are already having.

Available on the Pro, Growth and Enterprise plans. Access follows your own account: a client can never see or do more than you can in Ranktim.

OAuth 2.1 — sign in with your Ranktim account. API keys (read-only) are also accepted for headless clients.

Add Ranktim to your client

  1. In Claude (web or desktop), open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Click “Add custom connector”, name it Ranktim and paste https://ranktim.com/api/mcp.
  3. Click Connect, sign in to Ranktim and approve access.
  4. In a chat, enable Ranktim from the tools menu and ask a question.

Sign in and authorize

Your client opens a Ranktim sign-in page. Sign in with the account that owns the website and approve access. The client only receives a token for your account — never your password.

    Tracked prompts with visibility score, brand mention rate and engines, over a time window.

Troubleshooting
  • Authorization fails: remove the Ranktim server from your client, add it again and repeat the sign-in.
  • Results are empty: check which website the answer names. If you have several websites, ask for a specific domain (e.g. “for example.com”).
  • “plan_required”: the MCP server needs an active Pro, Growth or Enterprise plan. “write_disabled”: turn on action tools in Settings → MCP Server.
  • “rate_limited”: too many calls in a short time. Wait a moment; the error says when to retry.
